Congratulations on joining the ReSource community. The SOURCE that you have recently acquired will allow you to access credit lines on ReSource, stake to underwrite other user’s credit lines, and last but not least — participate in the governance process of the ReSource Protocol.

You can receive your SOURCE with any wallet application that supports ERC20 tokens on the CELO blockchain. However, we recommend setting up Metamask for this purpose, since it will also allow you to directly interact with the various ReSource dApps, such as the staking dApp and the ReSource marketplace.

Setting up Metamask to receive SOURCE is easy and takes only a few minutes. In fact, we have created a small dAPP that will add CELO mainnet to your wallet and list SOURCE as a custom token. If you’re experiencing any trouble, you can always connect Metamask to CELO manually and add SOURCE by entering the contract address, as described below, and, of course, contact us directly at info@resourcenetwork.co

Step 1

Install Metamask.
Metamask is available for most browsers. If you’re using a chromium-based browser that’s not on the list, such as Brave or Opera, you can navigate to the Chrome extension-store and add it from there.

Step 1.2 — Set up wallet

Follow the instructions on screen.

If you have received your SOURCE to an existing Celo address that has been created on a seperate wallet application, such as Valora or the Celo extension wallet, you will now have to choose “import wallet” instead of “create wallet”, and enter the seed phrase associated with your existing account.

Since you will be typing your seed phrase in manually, it is advisable to perform this step on a trusted machine that is well protected from malware, firewalled and behind a VPN. You should also make sure that no one can observe your screen while typing the seed phrase in. Disconnecting from the internet while using your keyboard to type could add an additional protective layer. Be sure to reconnect before you hit next.

Step 2

Navigate to app.resource.finance and choose “connect wallet”

Step 3

Choose the account that holds your SOURCE.

Step 4

Allow the site to switch networks. This step switches the chosen account from the default Ethereum Network to Celo Mainnet.

After having switched the network, the network on the drop down window at the top of the metamask application will display Celo (instead of Ethereum)

Step 5.1 — Add SOURCE to wallet

At this stage, if you receive a message that reads “You need SOURCE to continue”, you have either selected an account that doesn’t hold SOURCE or you haven’t received SOURCE yet. If the latter is not true, return to Step 3 and switch to the account that holds your SOURCE.

Otherwise, click the “connect wallet” button and you will be greeted with this screen. Click the “Add SOURCE to wallet” button.

Step 5.2

And confirm on MetaMask, by clicking “Add Suggested Token” -

That’s it! You should now see SOURCE listed in the “Assets” tab of your wallet alongside your SOURCE balance.
