Dear Community,

Welcome to The Weekly SOURCE of Truth; our weekly community update, covering the latest developments in the ReSource ecosystem: dev updates, KPI reports, future plans and anything you need to know as a member of the growing ReSource community.

General

First of all, we hope all of you enjoyed the holiday season and are as thrilled as us for what 2022 has in store. In the coming week we will publish a new and updated development roadmap, with much more details and exciting additions. 2022 is the year in which ReSources will hit mainnet and go global, so stay tuned for more updates.

Very soon these community updates will transition into weekly video presentations, in which our product and dev leads will share our progress, wireframes, screenshots and much more. We will also hold more AMAs on Discord, in which you’ll be able to ask questions and share your ideas and comments. We are eager to meet you in person, so if you haven’t already, please join our Discord server and say hello.

Development Updates

Marketplace

The Employee Benefits feature, which we have discussed here in the past, has now been rolled out, allowing employers to add their employees to an automated rUSD payroll.

For those who may not be familiar with the feature — The Employee Benefits program allows employers to pay their employees benefits in rUSD, which they then can use to acquire health and wellness products and service on the ReSource Marketplace. In order to do so, employers access an rUSD credit line, which they pay back by accepting rUSD as a means of payment at their establishments. This way ReSource has created a circular economy, which stabilises rUSD, increases its velocity and which soon will be accessible globally.

Furthermore on the monetary stabilisation front — rUSD will soon be redeemable against gift cards which will allow holders of positive rUSD balances to purchase goods and services that are not listed on the ReSource Marketplace. When users do so, the rUSD acquired this way by the network’s Reserve pool can be sterilised and removed from circulation. This way we can optimise the circulating supply of rUSD to better meet its pegging target with USD.

The Marketplace is now also Geo-location sensitive and displays items relevant and purchasable by a given user, depending on their location.

While approaching mainnet, accessing rUSD credit lines will soon entail the payment of transaction fees (which until now have been waived). These transaction fees pose the monetary source for SOURCE staking rewards. Speaking of which — the first iteration of SOURCE staking will go live in the coming month, so stay tuned for more updates.

That’s it for now.

Thank you again for your support,

Your friends at ReSource.
